This is Lewis's fourth time to complete in the Miss Mississippi Pageant and her second time to perform the Streisand song.

Lewis was crown Miss Mississippi's Outstanding Teen in 2009.  She was named 2nd runner-up to Miss Mississippi in 2013, first runner-up in 2014 and second runner-up again 2015.

Miss Vicksburg Katie Busby, who is a second year competitor, won the swimsuit preliminary competition and a $400 scholarship.

The preliminary competitions will resume at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Vicksburg Convention Center. A composite score from the three preliminary competitions in talent, swimwear, evening wear, on-stage interviews will determine who will be in the top 10, which will be announced at the beginning of the final competition Saturday night, and the 2016 Miss Mississippi will be crowned.  This year's theme for the pageant is "Take Back the Night."
